Summit Entertainment has scored the rights to Orson Scott Card‘s Ender’s Game, which will be adapted by Gavin Hood (Tsotsi, X-Men Origins: Wolverine) into a live-action film. Hood will be writing the screenplay and directing, and Card will be among the producers. Now that Summit’s Twilight franchise is ending, will this be their next successful youth-driven series? And will this provide some competition against Lionsgate‘s adaptation of The Hunger Games?

En Coming Soon comentan que The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey y The Hobbit: There and Back Again se estrenarán el 14 de Diciembre del año que viene y el 13 de Diciembre de 2013 respectivamente.

Aprovecho la ocasión para cargarme encima de quién sea el responsable de que sigan sin incluir la pista de audio en catalán en las infinitas ediciones que han hecho de las tres primeras películas. La excusa inicial de que no cabía en los DVD ya no se aguanta por ningún sitio, ya que no tienen cojones de meterla ni en la edición en blu-ray. Que me parecería normal si ese doblaje no existiese, pero yo vi las tres pelis en catalanish en el cine. Y el doblaje estaba de puta madre. Y lo pagó la generalitat, ergo, todos los catalinos. ¿Por qué no tenemos derecho a poder disfrutarlo en nuestras casas?

Misfits’ executive producer Murray Ferguson has confirmed that there are talks about remaking the show in the US.
“There has been interest in America about making an American version,” he said. “We so far haven’t made any decisions on that.”
“We’re obviously interested but if we do do that we want to make sure that we retain all the essential, key ingredients of the show that make it successful over here while recognising that if it’s for an American audience it might have to be slightly different culturally.”
Ferguson added: “We are going to go and talk next month in LA to a couple of key people that we think would be good partners and who are very keen to do it with us. Hopefully it will work out. I’m optimistic - we’ll see.”
