Hard drive for a PC On 24/7?

Mensaje por carterturner »

Hello,

i recently got given a Dell Optiplex 755 To play with. I have a few cameras around the house I'm putting up but no DVR. I was wondering if this Dell could record it to a 2nd HDD Replacing the optical drive. These cameras are AV Composite so by no means HD 1080P. Just nightvision cameras. I know these Dells are cooled well and parts are cheap if it goes wrong. I have the recording stuff sorted but not the Hard drive. I don't mind it being second hand and i don't mind the disk space as i would be able to change it and delete videos every few weeks or days.

Thanks,

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
